Margaret Ann Norton, age 81, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away November 26, 2019 at The Woodlands At Hillcrest in Lincoln.
Margaret was born January 24, 1938 to John S. and Lois (Schamp) Bottom in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Omaha Central High School and then attended University of Nebraska-Omaha and the University of Maryland.
On January 27, 1973 she was united in marriage to William H. Norton in Osceola.
Margaret served as the Superintendent of Schools in Polk County for many years, retiring in 2000.
Margaret enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, quilting and baking. She was a member of PEO.
Survivors include two sons John ‘Jay’ and Suzanne Watkins of Timonium, MD and Laird S. Watkins of Lincoln; grandchildren Alexander Watkins, Andrew Watkins and Cody Watkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Norton who passed away December 4, 2003; parents John and Lois Bottom.
