Margaret A. Sperlin, 68 died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Galesburg. She was born June 23, 1938, the daughter of Leo and Lois Miles Jordan and received her education at St. Joseph’s Academy. She married John Sperlin, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, John (and Kelly) Sperlin and DeWayne (and Peg) Sperlin, and two daughters, Laurie (and Steve) Robison and Debbie (and James) Sparks, all of Galesburg. A daughter, Carolyn, died in 2002. Also, surviving are two brothers, Leo Miles Jordan, Wataga and Dave Jordan, Monticello, Indiana, and two sisters, Pat Mellican, Chicago and Mary Bainbridge, Washington, Illinois. She was employed as a line worker at Maytag in Galesburg for eight years and retired after 23 years as an assembler for J. I. Case in Burlington, Iowa. She took great joy in her four grandchildren and was particularly fond of animals.
