Margaret “Ann” Shook passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Ocoee, Florida.  She lived in Fort Walton Beach, Florida for 50 years; arriving in 1964 as an Air Force dependent wife.  Her husband, Captain John B Shook died in 1991 after a long illness.  They met while he was stationed at Savannah, Georgia in 1950.

She is survived by a sister, Faye; son and daughter, John “Jack” and Joy; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly, Sean, and Nicole; four great grandchildren, Connor, Clark, Rachel and Lily.

She never met a stranger; was good hearted and quick to laugh. Ann would do anything she could to help someone.  Her greatest joy was summer vacations in Fort Walton with her grandchildren.

Crochet was her favorite hobby.  She made pieces from handkerchief to king size bedspreads and gave them as presents.

She was a member of the Okaloosa Kennel Club and helped with their shows every year until her health deteriorated.

An avid shell collector she had many stories about her trips to Shell Island.

She attended the Citizens Police Academy and really enjoyed the experiences.

Although primarily a homemaker, she loved the excitement of helping out at a local florist and her daughter-in-laws balloon delivery business during busy holidays.
