Mardell A. Whaley, age 87 of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, October 18,
2022 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Mrs. Whaley was born June 19, 1935 in Huntsville, AL to Jim Tom and Gracie Mae
Anders. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband James Whaley, of
Huntsville, daughters Kelly Evette Tate and Tammy Gracette Damron, both of
Huntsville, brothers Robert Anders, Charles Anders, both of Huntsville, Douglas
Anders of Tampa, FL, and sister Louise Atchley of Huntsville.
She was a Christian, Homemaker, Mother, Grandmother, and a Great
Grandmother. She loved God, her family and was completely devoted to them all.
Home, in Huntsville, AL with the service to follow at 12pm.

Survivors include her daughter, Conchetia Curtis, Lawrenceburg, TN, sons Henry
Robert “Rodney” Tate Jr, wife Kim of Pulaski, TN, John Mark Whaley, Huntsville,
sister Laverne Dunson, of Huntsville, and sister-in-law Barbara Anders (Charles) of
Monterey, TN. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Erica Curtis Sanders,
Tabitha Curtis, Kayla Rutherford Hernandez, Kelly Tate, and Audrey Spray as well as ten
great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
