After 26 years of waiting, Mrs. Marcia (Wilcox) Husted went to Heaven to dance with her Husband, Richard (Dick) Husted of 68 years on September 11, 2016. Their unwavering love and service for each other was an example of how beautiful marriage can be to anyone who knew them. Marcia’s love, contagious positive energy and servant’s heart shaped her family and anyone whose life touched hers. It was the simple things around her in life that she never took for granted, commenting daily how fortunate and thankful she was.
She managed the Rummage Sale at the First United Methodist Church for many years, volunteered for both the American Red Cross and the Discovery Shop. Marcia was a lifelong member of the Oshtemo Farmer’s Card Club, Wine Club and Kalamazoo County Extension. She loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and share them with anyone who came to her home. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and rooting for Duke Basketball and the Detroit Tigers.
Above all, Marcia was absolutely devoted to her family. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the peace and joy that would await her after her passing.

She was also preceded in death by three of her children: Roxanne Husted (2005), Ric Husted Jr. (1984), and Bob Husted (2010).
