Marcia Kay Stanley, 77, of Anderson, passed away on May 23, 2018, at the St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson. She was born on April 10, 1941, in Lima, Ohio, and resided most of her life in Anderson. Marcia graduated from Anderson High School in 1959.
She was a homemaker for most of her life. She liked to do yard work and looked forward to the holidays, but she especially loved to spend time with her family. Her grandchildren and all their friends called her by the name Gaggie. She was also a proud breast cancer survivor.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband and caregiver of 57 years, Gary L. Stanley, daughters, Nancy Traylor of Anderson, and Amy (Ted) Morgan of Anderson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Cory Harvey) Traylor, Jessie (Kyle) Comer, Lucas (Kara) Traylor, Brooke (Daniel Santana) Morgan, Blake (Kelsi Rhodes) Morgan; and great-grandchildren, Paisley, Preston, Greyson, and Kendall. Also, surviving is her loving sister, Sandra (Bill) Kime; brother-in-law, Ross (Leslie) Stanley; special friends, Sharon and Ronald McVey; loyal companion and dog, Maddie, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Lester Gilliam.
