Marci Jill Ascherman, 58, passed away peacefully in her Denver home on December 20, 2017. She was born February 17th, 1959 in Chicago Illinois to the late Gerald Ascherman and late Shari Greene. Marci is survived by her sisters Beth Lansdowne (Peter) Jami Ascherman Kadnuck (Mark Kadnuck), Riki Ascherman (Ira Slavin), Jodi Ascherman (Gerhard Kotze) Stepmother Candy Ascherman, nieces Eva Slavin, Molly Lansdowne, Ally Lansdowne, and nephew Luca Slavin.
Marci was a long- time resident and vibrant citizen of Denver. She graduated from Metropolitan State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She also earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Denver.
Marci loved to shop. Whether it was at her favorite consignment stores, estate sales, yard sales, or Denver’s most popular festivals, Marci was always there, checking out the cool art, cruising the aisles and perusing the racks. She also liked her scratch cards and lottery tickets. Marci loved her cat Button, who has been loyally by her side through all Marci’s hardships. She also enjoyed decorating her home as well as spending time with her family, neighbors and friends. Marci had a way of making people laugh and smile and will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor and knack for story- telling.
