Marcella D. Quickel, 91, died June 25, 2005 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson after an extended illness.

She was born October 17, 1913 in Muncie, and resided in Anderson. She has lived in this area since 1919 She was a elementry teacher and served as the assistant to the Principal for 13 years with Anderson City Schools.

She was a graduate of Anderson High School and attended Ball State Teachers college and graduated from Butler University.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anderson, Tri Cappa Sarority, Alpha Chi Omega, the 20th Century Club, Beaux Arts, and the Womens Society of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her four nephews and one niece, James A. Dick and wife Judy of Frankton, John W. Dick Jr. and wife Sandra of Anderson. Frank M. Dick II and wife Patricia of Anderson, David Quickel of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and DianeQuickel Hicks of Sarasota. FL. Her great nieces and nephews, James A. Dick and wife Luci of Las Vegas, Julie A. Wainwright and husband Andrew of Rushville, Michelle D. Skeen and husband David of Anderson, John W. Dick III and wife Niki of Fishers, Jeffrey J. Dick and wife Leigh of Anderson, Timothy A. Dick of Anderson, Stephanie Buck and husband Derrick of Pendleton. Also surviving are her longtime friends Harold & Hilda Anderson.

She was preceded by her husband whom she married in August of 1940, Daniel D. Quickel, her parents Frank Madison and Iva Hutchings Dick. Two brothers; John W. Dick Sr. and Charles Albert Dick.
