Marceline Nancy (Plantamuro) Polzella, 80, wife of Anthony Polzella, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday January 30, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Marceline was born on February 15, 1929 in Bristol, a daughter of the late Sebastian and Domenica (Colapinto) Plantamuro.
Marceline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. She was a special caring lady who touched many people’s lives. She was not only an inspiration to her children, but also to all who meet her.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Patrick and Candice Polzella of Monkton, VT, Marceline “Cindy” and Ed Scarpati of Prospect, Linda and Randy Shorette of Terryville, Denise and Tom Schittina of Forestville, Sharon and Jeff Newton of Bristol, Anthony and Susan Polzella of Terryville, Lisa and Bob Shea of East Hartford and Donna and Martin Mattei of Bristol; her grandchildren, Andrew and Jenn Shorette, Ryan and Amy Shorette, Justin Scarpati and Chrissy Crea, Joel and Cassie Scarpati, Erik Scarpati and Kelly Simpson, Sean and Lisa Newton, Alex and Kevin Newton, Timothy and Patrick Shea, Ashley and Gina Mattei and Tyler Bartlett; her five great-grandchildren; her cousins, Marge and Jack McCarthy, Angie, Frank and Anthony (Sonny) Mascia; her sister-in-law Carol Plantamuro and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friends, Cathy and Tom Mitchell, Carolyn Pollack and Carol Levesque.
She was predeceased by her brother William Plantamuro.
