Marcel J. Thibodeau, 82, of Newington, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Normande (Clavette) Thibodeau for 58 years. Born in Lewiston, ME, son of the late George and Imelda (Cote) Thibodeau, he was a Newington resident since 1976 and a parishioner of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Marcel honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for nine years. He was employed with International Bridge and Iron Co. for 35 years until his retirement. Marcel was kind, loving and generous. He was liked by all who knew him. He shared his love of fishing by teaching his adored grandsons to do it alongside him. He was dedicated to his family and was described as a wonderful father and grandfather. His family cherishes his memory and they feel blessed to have had him in their lives. Along with his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Elizabeth Glowka and her husband John of Kensington and Susanne Winchell and her husband Douglas of Meriden, and two grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Melissa and Jeffrey and his wife Gabi. He also leaves his sister Constance Brochu and her husband Paul, sister-in-law, Linda Thibodeau, all of ME and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Raynald Thibodeau and his sister Carmen Squeo.
