Marc Fils-Aime was born on October 4, 1955, in Desdunes, Haiti to the parentage of the late Jean-Baptiste Fils-aime and Jesula Thelemaque. When Marc was young, he enjoyed playing soccer for his community. Marc then completed his high school years in Haiti, right after he finished high school, he became a businessman and became the owner of a small store in Port-Au-Prince. In 1980 Marc met his wife Veronique Emmanuel to whom he married and years later, they had three children together. Marc was a father figure to his nieces and nephews; he was their caregiver and the one from whom they mostly picked up their moral principles.

Marc then continued on to leave Haiti at the age of 37, before his parents died and spent 15 years in Florida at Pompano Beach, then he proceeded to move to New Jersey in 2007 and became a worker at Newark Airport. Once Marc became a U.S Citizen in 2007 he brought his four children and his wife to America in order to give them a better life.
