Manuel Vela Yanez, 51, of Harlingen went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021 at VBMC. He was born on January 20, 1970 in Weslaco, Texas to Raul Yanez and Agustina Garza. Manuel is proceeded in death by his father, Raul Yanez and his youngest child Joshua Jeremiah. He graduated from Harlingen High School in 1989. Manuel leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Hilda Hernandez Yanez and his loving children, Faithe N Guerrero (Fernando), Hadassah A Oloi (HunJoe), Angela C Barter (Daniel), Israel Noe; his adorable grandchildren which he loved greatly, Colleen A Oloi, Tobias I Guerrero and another grandbaby on the way; siblings, Ismael Yanez (Melissa), Julia A Leal (Mauricio), Raul Yanez Jr (Maricela), Gricelda Urrutia (Luis), Roy Arias and several step-siblings along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was ordained as a Pastor in October of 2000 under Apostle Ron Callahan of Grace Ministries from Lexington, Kentucky. Since then Pastor Manuel had been fulfilling his call from God to spread the Word of the Lord; thus touching many people’s lives. Manuel was the most selfless person anyone could have known. He always cared for others and accepted them for who they were; free of judgement. He shared the love of God through everything he did for people. If there was ever a need, he would go above and beyond to help in any possible way. Manuel had the best sense of humor and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He also had a servants heart and always put others before himself. Manuel was a great counselor of the Word and always had encouraging words of wisdom to share. He was currently ministering at Grace Fellowship of Harlingen, TX.
