Manuel “Manny” Martinho passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the age of 88.
Manny was born in Portugal to Maria Lureto.
They came to the United States in 1939 to reunite with his father Manuel. They settled in Elizabeth, N.J. Manny was very active in the Portuguese Club and was a member of the P.I.S.T. youth movement in Elizabeth, N.J. Manny started his career in Proctor & Gamble in Staten Island for 40 years until his retirement in 1989. Manny loved sports, especially soccer.
Manny is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ronnie(DeHart) Martinho, his son, Manuel and wife Diane; his caring daughter, Joanne Carvajol; sons, Joseph DeHart and wife Donna; Richard DeHart and wife Dinery; Frank DeHart , 15 loving grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and his special sister in law, Marie Oakie.
