GAUNA, Mr. Manuel “Manny”, Kalamazoo, MI Died Saturday morning November 15, 2014. Manuel was born August 26, 1931 in Dilley, Texas a son of Everisto and Josephine Medina Gauna. During the Korean War, he served honorably with the U.S. Marines.
He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed as the Director of Parks and Recreation with the City of Kalamazoo for 24 years, before retiring. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Joe, Ed, and Ralph. He is survived by his longtime companion, Marilyn J. McNee of Kalamazoo; a stepson, Scott Amy McNee of Chicago, IL; 2 step grandchildren, Sierra and Brennan; a brother, Richard Judy Gauna of Dayton, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
