Manuel M. Martins, 79, of Hartford, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Portugal to the late Manuel and Belmira Martins, he and his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1976, settling in Hartford. Prior to retirement, Manuel was a machine operator at Wire Mold Co. He was a member of Casa Benfica and a fan of the soccer team. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Left to mourn his passing are his family: his wife of 58 years, Maria Rosa (Cabral) Martins; his daughter, Dulce M. Laranjeira and her husband, Pedro of Ramsey, NJ; his son, Carlos M. Martins of Hartford; his twin granddaughters, Marta and Ines; his sister, Maria Emilia DeLoureiro and her husband, Alberto, and his nephews, George and Luis DeLoureiro and their families and a brother, Ramiro Marques.
