Manuel C. Huerta, 78, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones.
Manuel was born September 20, 1937 in Deming, New Mexico to Manuel P. Huerta and Luz Cisneros. He retired after 42 years from Cobre Consolidated Schools. He was quite the handyman around the house, but was passionate about cooking his red and green chile. He was a loving grandfather, great-grandfather and great, great-grandfather. He loved watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Irma Reyes Huerta, one daughter Kathy Marquez (David), three sons, Edward Huerta, Robert Huerta, Richard Huerta (Delilah); his mother Luz Huerta, one brother, Ernesto “Wero” Huerta (Olga); 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Compa Bobby Murillo, seven sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Manuel Huerta, great-grandson Baby J,
Daughter-in-law Christina Huerta, brother-in-law Amador Reyes and his in-laws Amador and Guadalupe Reyes.
