RobsonMagdalene Robson 96, of Chesapeake, Virginia, died at home January 29, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Robson, and son-in-law, Robert Koenig. Magdalene was the proud mother of her four children, Mary Koenig (her favorite), Don Robson (her favorite) and his wife, Peggy, Ed Robson (her favorite) and his wife, Regina, and Susanne “Nancy” Dunston (her favorite) and her husband, Earl. Magdalene leaves behind eight exceptional grandchildren, Rob Koenig (her Bitty Buddy) and his wife, Eileen, Mike Koenig, Don Robson and his wife Erran, Sharon Marshall and her husband, David, Kristie Robson, Eddie Robson and his wife, Whitney, Marie Robson and her wife, Vanessa Walker, and Leon Dunston and his wife, Lonnette, as well as fifteen great grandchildren, Blue and Robbie Koenig, Brianna and Tommy Knight, Clare, Donnie and Tommy Robson, Ann, Dustin, Samantha and Emma Marshall, Maddie and Teddy Robson, and Devaria and Trinity Dunston. Magdalene also leaves behind a patchwork of family and friends, including her over 60 year loving friendship with Peggy Lennox and “third daughter” Terry Miller. Magdalene worked in the payroll department of General Steel during WW2, made legendary pies, was an accomplished painter, avid reader, puzzle aficionado and never met a stranger. She always tried to feed and help friends and family. She never missed the opportunity to send a birthday, anniversary, or holiday card to let the recipients know she loved them and cared. Magdalene’s proudest accomplishment was her family, whom she nurtured until the day she died and all of whom will cherish her memory.
