Mae K. (Long) Long, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19th in her home at Moravian Village. She was the wife of the late Wallace M.
Mae was born in Marion Township, Berks County, the daughter of the late Warren F. Long and the late Beulah Virgie (Hartman) Long Bross. She grew up in Strausstown, the youngest of 9 children. She graduated from Bryland School of Beauty Culture.
Mae was involved in many activities at Central Moravian Church, including Busy Workers, Sacristans, Sunday School, and Ladies Sewing Society, where she enjoyed making the detailed dresses for Polly Heckewelder and Anna Nitschmann dolls. She was an active member of the Bethlehem Lioness Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, Elks Club, as well as bowling weekly in a women’s league at Town and Country Lanes up until age 80.
Survivors: Mae is survived by her son, Michael Long and his wife Terri of Bethlehem Township; her daughter Michele Graffis and her husband Dale of NC; her grandchildren Meghan Gaur and her husband Agosh of NY, Douglas Long and his wife Shelley of Virginia, Tyler Long and his wife Kelsey of Hanover Township, Andrew Graffis of CO; great-grandchildren Hallie, Maisie, Clara, Roshan, Callen and Maya; sister-in-law Mildred Long of Hamburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Long; her siblings Mary Hassler, George Long, Earl Long, Warren Long, Dorothy Heister, Grace Breidigan, Marion Batz, Leona Stoudt; and her grandson Derek Graffis.
