Madge Brizendine Hancock, 92, passed away January 10, 2012 at Golden Living Center-Muncie. She was born January 9, 1920 in Point Isabel, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of her life.
Madge retired from Matthews Super Market where she was a cashier for more than thirty years.
She is survived by her son, Donald Phyllis Smith of Anderson; one brother, Robert Elaine Brizendine of Pendleton; one sister-in-law, Pat Brizendine of Middletown; three grandchildren, Randy Elaine Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cheryl Jon Holloman of Anderson, and Rod Debra Smith of Anderson. She has four great-grandchildren, Taylor Holloman, Tiffany Austin New, Avery Smith, and Lydia Smith.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cooper Hancock; sister and brother-in-law, Madonna and Bob Bronnenberg; brother and sister-in-law, Loren and Eva Brizendine; and brothers, Max Brizendine and Jack Brtizendine.
