Madeline J. Cochran, age 87, of Midland died Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Hearts Content Adult Foster Care Home in Breckenridge. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Lydia (Hauri) Stockton was born June 5, 1926, in Midland. Madeline enjoyed crocheting, fishing at Bear Lake, making pies, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed being with family at holiday gatherings. She will be missed by her family and many friends. On November 28, 1945, she married Charles O. Cochran in Midland and after almost 63 years of marriage, he died on November 19, 2008.
Madeline is survived by her daughter, Brenda F. Riggie of Midland; sister, L. Grace Melchi of Midland; daughter-in-law, RoseMary Cochran; son-in-law, Laurence DuFort; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son, Daniel B. Cochran; daughter, Sharon J. DuFort; son-in-law, Michael E. Riggie; and brothers, Harland, Wayne, and Frank Stockton.
