Madaline Aurora “Maddy” Nichols-Workman, 22, of Crain Creek Road, Wallingford, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at St.
Born February 2, 1999, in Coldwater, Michigan, Maddy is the daughter of Michael and Lola Hand Nichols of Hillsboro.
In addition to her parents, Maddy is survived by her husband, Robert Workman, their sons Archer Workman and RJ Workman; her brother, Weston Nichols of Flemingsburg; paternal grandparents, James and Lorene Southworth Nichols of Hillsboro; maternal grandparents, Steven and Patricia Moore Hand of Bronson, Michigan; aunts and uncles, Mark and Linda Nichols of Coldwater, Michigan, Lonnie Hand of Atlanta, Georgia, Lance and Jessica Hand of Bronson, Michigan, and Liniah and Kashif Saileem of Fredericksburg, Virginia, father and mother-in-law, Mike and Lynn Weaver Workman; brother-in-law, Aaron Workman, all of Crain Creek; and many cousins whom she adored.
Maddy was a graduate of Fleming County High School, Class of 2017. For the past year, Maddy has worked hard at prospering her business as an Independent Consultant for Scentsy which she loved doing as it gave her the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom.
Being a mother was Maddy’s greatest joy in life and her absolute most favorite people in her world were her family: Archer, RJ, and Robert. Family was her top priority and she worked hard to care for each of them. Maddy loved her parents and enjoyed watching them become grandparents to her little Archer and his big brother RJ. She was also very protective of her little brother Weston whom she loved and adored. She loved all of her extended family, which includes her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and especially, her cousins all of which meant the world to her and had a huge impact on her life. Maddy absolutely loved planning celebrations for her boys and teaching them new things…she was so proud of them and was such a wonderful mother. She would often spend most of her time working on crafts with her boys and doing amazing DIY projects. Her love of crafting most likely came from time spent with her Grandma Nichols who crafted with her and also taught her to sew. Maddy had an amazing talent for styling/coloring hair and at one time had wanted to become a cosmetologist. She would often restyle and/or color her own hair and was always beautiful in it all. Maddy cherished her sisters-at-heart Katelyn, Sylvia, and Ariel who were always there for her throughout the years often texting and chatting into the night.
Most importantly, Maddy had a love for Jesus and would often talk to her mom about him. Her favorite Bible verse can be found in Mark 5:34 (NIV): He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Maddy will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her; however, her legacy will continue to live on through her children and our memories.
