Macklin Louis Mathison 69, of Fishers passed away Thursday September 27, 2012 at IU Saxony Hospital, Fishers. Macklin was born on November 9, 1942 in Indianapolis. He was a graduate of Noblesville High School.

Macklin was retired from General Motors-Guide Lamp Division in Anderson where he was a machine operator. He was a member of the UAW, Shirley Friends Church, and a former member of the Indiana National Guard for 6 years. Macklin was a small aircraft pilot, and he owned a 1938 Piper Cub. He enjoyed music and played the guitar. Macklin was a lover of animals; he also enjoyed fishing and trips to Florida.

He is survived by his sister Cheryl Mathison Owens of Fishers and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian McCord Mathison, grandparents, Leroy and Ruth McCord and a brother, Michael Mathison.
