Maciej Wydrzynski, 20, of Farmington and formerly of New Britain, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday evening, February 16, 2016. He was born in Przanysz, Poland on September 9, 1995 to Jacek and Bogumila (Lazicki) Wydrzynski. His family immigrated to the United States in 2001 and settled in New Britain where Maciej attended Sacred Heart School until 2006. He was a member of ZHP (Polish Scouting Organization) and also took classes at the Pope John Paul II Polish Saturday School. After the family moved to Farmington, Maciej attended secondary school at Farmington High School and was on the volleyball and soccer teams. After graduating from FHS in 2013, he continued his education at Tunxis Community College while working part-time. Maciek was a hard worker and always found time to help those around him, especially his family and friends. His optimistic and outgoing personality made it easy for him to make friends anywhere he went. His energy and smile were contagious to everyone around him and will never be forgotten. In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his sister, Magdalena, several aunts, uncles and close family both in the U.S. and Poland. Although he had only one sister, he was blessed to have cousins who were like siblings including: Joanna and Matt Kordek and Izabella and Daniel Lazicki.
