“Mac” Douglas Stuart MacFadyen, 86, of Lebanon, CT passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 10, 2017. Mac was born at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT on March 22, 1930, son of William MacFadyen and Flora Lyman of Hartford, and the stepson of Leon Douglass of Rocky Hill, and brother of Richard MacFadyen (deceased).
Mac is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mei Mey MacFadyen, son Shane and his wife Meta Khin, and sister-in-law Tamar MacFadyen.
Mac proudly served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as Sonar Technician 1st Class. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
After the Navy, Mac moved to Connecticut where he worked as an Inspector at Brand-Rex for 14 years before retiring. He was a life member of the VFW Willimantic and the American Legion Coventry.
