Mabrey Fallon Thomson Sr., 85, of Miramar, FL passed away on May 14, 2013, soundly in the loving care and comfort of his son s home in Cumming, GA. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and later moved to Miami, FL as a youth. Mabrey was affectionately referred to by his friends and loved ones as (Harvey), (Tom) or (Papa Tom). He was loved by all. His mother, a rider in the Kentucky Derby, was injured and died at age 26 when Mabrey was just six months old. He was lovingly raised by both his grandmother Rose Katherine Thomson, and his cherished uncle John Bennett (Ben) Thomson. After moving from Kentucky to Miami, FL, Mabrey attended Edison High School and graduated in 1945. He is a member of the Edison High School Over the Hill Gang , and maintained lasting friendships with his high school alumni.
