Mable Irene Spangler Nester, 86, of Stuart, Va died on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born June 10, 1926 to Mandy Lena Webb and Claude Calvin Spangler. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband John Floyd Nester, seven sisters, Recie Nester, Annie Sutphin, Ruth Hodnett , Hazel Roberson, Mattie Sutphin,Mary Spence,Elsie Bowman, and five brothers, Calvin Spangler ,Arnold Spangler,Marvin Spangler,Don Spangler and S.D. Spangler. She was a Member of Wayside Baptist Church , Womens DAV auxiliary and one of Patrick Countys prayer warriors. Surviving are three daughters, Linda and husband Connie Sutphin of Fancy Gap, VA, Lena Vaughan of Myrtle Beach, SC and Ann and husband Wes Wood of Surfside Beach, SC, three sisters, Clara Sutphin of Laurel Fork, Va, Marie Branscome of Hillsville, Va , Vivian Surratt of Hillsville, VA, two brothers Garland Spangler of Laurel Fork, VA and J.C. Mabry of Bassett, VA..
