Mabel M. (Snyder) Winter, 79, of Palmerton, passed away in her home on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was the wife of the late Donald Winter, who died in 1988. Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Myrtle (Oswald) Snyder. She served in the US Army, and later worked for Northampton County in several capacities until her retirement. She greatly enjoyed her family and her grandchildren, as well as the Phillies and going to the beach, particularly for fishing and the boardwalk. Survivors: daughter Amy Allen and her husband Chris, with whom she resided; son Mark Winter and his wife Terry of Lehighton; sister Leatrice Buddock of Saucon Valley; grandchildren Samantha, Shelby, Mackenzie, Dustin and Shane. Mabel was predeceased by her brothers Millard, Paul and Marlin Snyder.
