MABEL FLORENCE SIMMONS, age 87 of Inverness, Florida died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at Mariner Health Care in Inverness. She was born April 1, 1916 in Ronceverte, West Virginia daughter of the late Charles H. and Minnie Bryant Shepperd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Simmons. Survivors include five sons, Charles H. Simmons, of Eufaula, Alabama, James E. Simmons, of Inverness, Florida, Lee Simmons, of Antonio, Texas, Clarence Simmons, of Inverness, Florida and George Simmons, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five daughters, Marie Nobles, of Eufaula, Alabama, Ruth Willis, of Greenville, South Carolina, Nenetta Card, of North Ft. Myers, Florida, Carol Miller, of Mt. Jackson, Virginia and Sharon Hacker, of Tampa, Florida, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
