Mabel Joyce Norton, 84 formerly of 681 Arnett Blvd, Danville died Tuesday May 8, 2012 at Riverside Health and Rehab, Danville. Mrs. Norton was born January 24, 1928 in Rockingham County, NC to the late John William Joyce and the late Dora Bell Hutcherson Joyce. She was married to the late Willie Norton Sr.. Mrs. Norton was a member of Third Avenue Congregational Christian Church. She worked as a Clinical Nurse Assistant in the Emergency Room at Danville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Norton is survived by one son; Willie Norton Jr. of Danville: one sister; Doris J. Walker of Greensboro, NC: two brothers; Henry Joyce of Reidsville, NC and Bobby Joyce of Greensboro, NC: two grandchildren; Harry Lee Norton of Providence, NC and Matthew Thomas Norton of Danville: one great-grandchild; Isaiah Lamahr Prunty of Danville: two great-grandchildren; Christian Michael Williams and Kiersten Lynn Williams both of Providence. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by three sister; Dorothy J. Bullock, Pencie Kallam Minnie Bell Hand: five brothers; Leslie L. Joyce, James M. Joyce, Roby V. Joyce, Coy Joyce Jessie Joyce.
