Mabel Jarrett Johnson, 86, of 215 Ridge Road, Collinsville, VA died Monday, August 13, 2012 with her husband of 65 years holding her hand and her children and grandchildren by her side at Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville, VA. She was born on April 26, 1926 in Ieager, WV to the late Jess Jarrett and Hazel Cline Jarrett but was raised by her late maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Cline. In addition to her parents and grandparents she was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Cline. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, VA and owned and operated a day care center for 43 years in her home. She and Ralph were married on November 8, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Elk Garden, VA. Surviving are her husband, Ralph Johnson, Sr. of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Foster and Louis Foster of Winston-Salem, NC, Margaret Seay and Michael Seay and Beverly Inman and Kenny Inman all of Collinsville, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Johnson, Jr. and Ruth Johnson of Collinsville, VA and Terry Johnson and Glenda Johnson of Knoxville, TN; sister, Jean Lester of Ieager, WV; grandchildren, Ginger Hines, Seth Johnson, Paige Collins, Caleb Inman, Eric Johnson, Alex Johnson, Matthew Uselton, Kyle Uselton and Gina Foster; great-grandchildren, Emily Cowher, Wyatt Uselton and James Uselton and two special caregivers, Mattie Ward of Memorial Hospital Hospice and Margaret Barrett of Blue Ridge Rehab Center.
