Obituary of Mabel Davis
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a former resident of Bastrop. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bastrop, member of the W.M.U., and a member of Mrs. Golden’s Sunday School Class. She played piano and taught Sunday School at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home for 18 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary “Gail” Creasey McLain of Hattiesburg, MS; son, Leland Hedrick “Rick” Davis & wife Merrilyn of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Clark Creasey, Teresa Van Horst, Terry Davis, Angel Davis Wood and Michael Davis; seven great grandchildren and step great granddaughter, Kelsea McLain.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leland H. Davis; parents, John Jeff & Pearl Naff Edwards; sister, Florence Milford; and step grandson, John M. McLain III.
