M. Eloise Adkins, 96, of Galesburg, died at 5:10 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Cottage Hospital.
Eloise was born on February 14, 1914 in Newport, RI, the daughter of William and Bertha (Legasse) Eichler. She married George Adkins on February 14, 1955 in Providence, RI. George preceded Eloise in death on December 18, 2003. She is survived by a Godson and Nephew, John, whom she helped raise.
Eloise received her master’s degree and was a social worker.
