Lynwood R. “Chink” Hackett Jr., 65, of East Haven passed away on August 31, 2011 at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. Born in New Haven, son of Maria Hackett and the late Lynwood Hackett Sr. Father of Lisa (Anthony) Giudice, Kim (Christopher) St. Claire and Lynwood (Danielle) Hackett III all of West Haven, grandfather of Daniel, Joseph, Amelia Lyn, Bryanna and Michael Lynwood. He is also survived by his companion Joan “Candy” Koenig of East Haven, his sister Diana Biondi of West Haven and his brother Ted Hackett of Westbrook. Chink worked for Amtrak and Yale prior to his retirement. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corp.
