Lynn Harold Timm, 82, went to be with his heavenly father, with his “little girl” by his side, on February 8, 2018 at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Lewiston Idaho. Daddy was born December 21, 1935 in Scranton North Dakota to the late Frank Albert Timm and Evangeline Rhodora Bull Brown Timm. He was the oldest of 6 kids, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. After graduating high school in Scranton in 1953, he went on to get his Teaching Certificate from Dickinson State College in Dickinson ND. He taught grades 1-8 in a 1 room country school for a few years before volunteering for the United States Army draft in 1960. The Army took him to Germany and was able to serve there alongside one of his brothers. While in Germany he studied surveying and artillary. Daddy left North Dakota and relocated to Washington State where, In December 1966, he became the proud father of his first daughter, LaShel Lynn. While in Washington, he worked for Henkle & McCoy, and the Boeing plant in Renton in electrical maintenance. Daddy returned to North Dakota where he met the love of his life, Verna Lou Norby. They were married and started their life together in Hunter on September 25, 1969. Their “little girl”, Deanna Joy, arrived in July 1972. While in Hunter, daddy worked for Polar Telephone, became one of the first certified Emergency Care Technicians (EMT today), and was a Boy Scout troop leader. In 1978, the three of us moved to Eureka Montana. Daddy began working for Interbel Telephone and went on to retire from Lincoln Electric Co-op in 1998. Dad found retirement somewhat boring and became a volunteer emergency dispatcher for the Eureka Area Dispatch District for a couple of years. Daddy had several passions in life. During his younger adult years, he had several country/western bands. As far back as I can remember, he loved to sing, play his guitar, and harmonica.
