WINSTED – Lynn S. Morton, age 70, of Winsted, CT passed away at home on Friday, June 22, 2007. He was born on February 26, 1937 in Winsted. He was the son of Harold A. Morton and Katharine (Bronson) Morton. He is survived by his mother Katharine, his wife Carole Boyle Morton, his son Jeffry Morton and wife Diane of Granby, CT, his daughter Irene Banks and husband Wade of West Simsbury, CT and his grandchildren, Ethan Morton and Ana Banks. Lynn is also survived by his sister Joan and husband Larry Woodrick of Gulf Breeze, FL and his sister Gwen and husband Morris Hicks of Hoschton, GA. Lynn attended Winsted schools and graduated valedictorian from Oliver Wolcott Technical School. He owned and operated Morton’s Inc. service station, a business he started with his father and grandfather. Lynn was well known for his love of and restoration of antique cars and in recent years became an award-winning model airplane enthusiast.
