Lynn Joyce (Chernicky) Schimp, 64, of Upton, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 2, 2012 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was the wife of 48 years to Daniel Schimp.
Born in Clarion, PA, she was the daughter of Pete and Lois (Powell) Chernicky and was educated in Immaculate Conception High School in Clarion, PA. Lynn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Framingham State College, class of 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Art History.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Christopher Schimp of Upton and Trisha Dorfman of Franklin; her siblings, Robert Chernicky of Clarion, PA, Darlene Bailey of Rimersburg, PA and Keith Chernicky of Clarion, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Danielle, Kristie, Kyle, Julianne, Nicole, Kaitlyn and Lynn.
