Mrs. Lynda was a member of the Pentecost Tabernacle, Delhi, LA. She taught many years at Epps School and retired from the West Carroll School System. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ethelyn Copes; and her son, Ray Allen Best.
Lynda and Allen Ray were married when she was 16 years old and he was 19 years old and their marriage lasted for 63 years.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Ray Best of Delhi; daughter, Taffy Best Higdon and husband, Donald of Delhi; grandchildren, Caleb Lofton and wife, Katie, Chelsea Neel, Canaan Ray Best, and Alex Ray Best; great grandchildren, Knox Lofton and Raelynn Neel; siblings, Walter Copes and wife, Nancy of Slidell, Mary Smith of Lake Charles, and Billy Copes and wife, Bonnie of Goliad, TX.
