Lyman grew up and attended school in Ponemah. He met Mabel Hill, the love of his life, and they were together for many years before marrying in 1992. Lyman loved spending time with his family. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and snaring rabbits for his soup. Lyman was a true Vikings fan and is well known for his “famous outside bread”. His hobbies were bead work and going to the casino. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Family welcoming Lyman to the spirit world are his wife; Mabel Kingbird, parents; Paul and Jane Kingbird, sisters; Rosella “Joyce” Kingbird Bowstring, Josephine Urrutia Johnson and Philomene Lightfeather, brothers; Leo, John, Bobby, Jack and Johnson Kingbird, special nephew; Ronald Bowstring and other relatives.

He is survived by his daughter; Laura (James) Howard, stepchildren; Mindy Flute, Muriel Hill-Thunder, Merwin Hill and April Hill, grandchildren; James, Valerie, Chelsea, Rosella and Shawnte Howard, seven great grandchildren, special grandchildren whom he raised; Stephan and Shawna Cloud and Samantha Hill, special sister in law; Delores “Dee” Hill, many nieces, nephews, and family members.
