Lyle was born on November 17, 1934 to Edwin and Sophie (Ihde) Mueller on the family farm near Malcolm, NE. He attended St. John Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Seward High School in 1952. On March 29, 1959, Lyle was united in marriage to Elaine Luebbe at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. Lyle served in the United States Navy from March 15, 1957 to March 6, 1959. He was the owner and operator of “Big M” Masonry until his retirement. Lyle was a member of the St. John Lutheran church and was active on the board of trustees for 35 years, Seward Chamber of Commerce, Seward Izaak Walton League and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
