March 12, 1930 – July 9, 2015
Born during the Depressionâ¦died feeling like he was the wealthiest man alive. Married to Nancyellen, the love of his life for 62 years, raised 5 kids in a high-energy household. Lyle’s career spanned nearly half a century, ending with 37 years with the St. Paul Public Schools. As a life-long learner he held the positions of teacher, principal, counselor, NYC Project Director, administrator/Learning Centers, coordinator/Magnet Programs, Director of Community Ed. Proceeded in death by parents Philip and Myrtle Swanson, brothers Gerald and Dean. Survived by wife, Nancyellen, sons, Jeff (Kippie), Wade (Cyndy), daughters, Lynn, Becky (Stefan), Lori (Dan) and 4 grandchildren, Ryne, Croix, Sophie, Riley, two step-grandchildren, Ilie, Ben, and brothers Glen (Betsy), Russ (Lois).
