Matt was born in 1972, Jordan in 1975, and Katie in 1979. Lyle was always there to support his children in sports and school activities. He had fun coaching youth basketball and baseball teams and many lifelong friendships were made.

Lyle was fond of exploring the Owyhee Mountains with his friends and family. He liked to ride his ATV in the Idaho backcountry. Road trips to central and northern Idaho with friends created moments that he cherished. He liked playing canasta and dominos with his family into the early morning hours. Rebuilding a 1956 Chevy pickup motor with Matt and Jordan created lasting memories.

In 1997 he began working with Matt in his trucking business. Lyle liked driving the 1984 Peterbilt he fondly called, “The Ol’ Pete”. Many adventures and stories were shared during this time. He worked with Matt until his retirement in 2012. Lyle strove for excellence in his work.

Faith Jacobson, born March 31, 2000, was his only granddaughter. She was the light of his life and kept him active, going to her basketball and softball games.
