Lydia Eisenach was born on November 6, 1925 at Pewaukee, Wisconsin to Henry and Katrina Schlauger. She was the tenth child in a family of eleven children. Their names were Hank, Kristina, John, Manuel, Phillip, Jake, Carl, Herbert, Walter, and Robert.  Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and siblings.

Her life was spent in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona.  Part of her early education was at the Oak Grove school near Montrose, Colorado.  Her family lived and farmed at Pea Green.  When she wasn’t attending school, her and her brothers worked long days in the fields.  When they would return home in the evenings, Lydia would help her mother prepare the evening meal.  Life was hard for her in those days.

Lydia met Elmer Eisenach in Nebraska.  They were married on June 29, 1947 in Bridge Port, Nebraska. This union produced six children; Richard (Janet), Stan, Steve (Marsha), Pamela, Colleen and Teresa. Lydia has nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Besides her duties as mother, grandmother and  amazing housekeeper and phenomenal German cook, Lydia worked at various jobs outside her busy household.

Lydia faced many personal and physical challenges in her life.  She loved her children and made many sacrifices over the years to raise them and provide for them as best as she could. Her children are proud of her and grateful for all she did for them.

Lydia will be missed by her children, their families, her extended family, numerous nieces and nephews and friends   Since she had a strong faith in God, we look forward to meeting again and rejoicing together with our Savior in our Heavenly home.
