Lydia E. Davis Carr, 81, Anderson, died December 22, 2003 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born June 12, 1922 in Alred, Tennessee, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She lived in this area since 1952.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Valley Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, painting, her grand-kids and family.
She is survived by her Five Children: Shelby & husband Joe Bennett of Anderson. Geraldine Centers & friend Clark Hovermale of Sweetser. Roy W. & wife Diane Carr of Anderson. Helen Carpenter of Marion. David & wife Becky Carr of Anderson. Twin Sister: Gladys J. Carr of Anderson. Sister: Latta Copeland of Livingston, Tennessee. Twelve Grandchildren: Beverly Rosborough, Lisa Bennett, Michael Centers, Kimberly Centers, Christina Millican, Phillip Carpenter, Jarek Carr, Steven Carr, Matthew Carr, Branden Carr, Shannon Carr and Danielle Carr. Aunt: Bertha Neal of Georgia. Twenty One Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild.
A special thanks to St. John’s Hospice and Dr. Robert Anderson. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded by her Husband: Woodroe Carr. Parents: William Hickman & Emma Smith Davis. One Daughter: Sheila Fern Carr. Three Sons: Stanley L. Carr, Willie Ray Carr and William Steve Carr. Great Grandson: Kevin Scott. Four Brothers: Walter Davis, Estel Davis, Ira Davis and Cecil Smith.
