Luvenia Louise Adams known to her family and friends as “Dockie” was born April 10, 1958 to Dorothy May Martin and Sam Adams in Indianapolis, Indiana.
As a child, Luvenia attended Indianapolis Public School #63. She graduated from George Washington High School in January of 1977.
Luvenia professed a belief and hope in Christ at a very early age.
Luvenia was employed for thirty-three years at IU Hospital where she was a chef. Cooking was her love. When she was not cooking for the hospital, she was cooking for family and friends. Much of the money earned from cooking was used to help those in need. Luvenia always stressed the importance oif helping others because you never know when you might need someone to help you. She will be truly missed.
Luvenia L. Adams transitioned on Sunday, July 19th. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, who were her world: Rev. Gerald Adams (Allison Brown) and Brandon A. Warren; one brother, Gerald Peniex; one aunt, Anna Logwood; two grandchildren, Amyah Mahone and Anthony Sibley, Jr.; and a host of cousins and friends.
