Luther Y. Seibert, Jr., 84, of Carlisle, passed on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at home.
Born May 5, 1933 in Elmhurst, IL, he was the son of the late Luther Y. Seibert, Sr. and Christine (Suchak) Seibert.
Luther was a graduate of Wittenberg College, Springfield, OH and the Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary.
Mr. Seibert had been an ordained Lutheran minister and had served as a Chaplain in the Naval Reserve.
He retired from Perry County, PA where he was the Chief Probation Officer.
Surviving are his wife: Deanna (Bolze) Seibert; two sons: Jay Luther Seibert (wife Kasia) of Sharon, MA and Vin William Seibert (wife Karen) of Chevy Chase, MD; a daughter: Tara Elizabeth Dum (husband Allen) of Boiling Springs; his twin brother: John Frederick Seibert (wife Carol) of Lexington, KY; two sisters: Judi Cartwright of Wheaton, IL and Penny Cohorts (husband Larry) of Sun City, AZ; 7 Grandchildren: Ian Dum, Evan Dum, Jen Dum; Matilda Seibert, Kimberly Herrera, Brooke Seibert and Cody Seibert; and 2 Great Grandchildren: Jesse and Kayla Herrera.
