Luis G. Cortez, 77, of Troutman, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Uyni, Bolivia, South America on June 2, 1935 to the late Renee Garrido-Cortez and Margarite Gonzatti Cortez.
He was self-employed and could do almost anything any one wanted him to do.
He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Rodriguez-Campos Cortez, of the home; four daughters, Margaritte Walkup of Troutman, Diana Seda and Isabel Echevarria, both of Jacksonville, FL, and Estrella Cortes of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Graciela Zenteno, of New York.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joaquin Cortez.
