Luella May Shrank, age 103, passed away early Friday morning, December 20, 2013 at the Friendship Village Health Center. Formerly of Battle Creek and Gull Lake, Luella was born on August 12, 1910 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the daughter of the late Henry and Nettie Green Bowers. She shared a 73 year marriage with Roy A. Shrank and was a loving mother of two daughters.
Surviving are her two daughters Jacqueline LaParl of Kalamazoo and Sandra James Bischoff of Portage; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband; one grandson; one brother; and two sisters.
