Mr. Ludie William Thigpen, 80, of Olin, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Ludie was born on May 31, 1936 to the late Edward Thigpen and Grace McCrory Thigpen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth; second wife, Betty Thigpen, and his sister, Clara Martin.
He is survived by three step-daughters, Phyllis (Larry) Wilson, Dana (Richard) Fox, Kim (Corey) Goodman; nephews, William (Kathy) Martin and Tommy Martin, and niece, Gail Martin.
Ludie was known for always being able to fix things, and he thoroughly enjoyed his mechanic work.
