Ludie Mae Hughes, age 96, of Salem, died at 12:50 a.m Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabiliation Center of Salem. She was born November 6, 1918 in Millcreek, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Harry Tyson and Margaret (Ubenhauer) Wesner. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Salem. Her husband, Horace J. Hughes, whom she married May 28, 1938, preceded her in death November 8, 1983. A son, William Joseph Hughes, also preceded her in death. Ludie was the last of 12 siblings, and was preceded by 4 brothers and 7 sisters. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
