Lucy Virginia Connolly Stewart, of Clarksburg, passed peacefully March 4, 2013 at United Hospital Center in her 76th year. She was born July 16, 1936 in Pennsboro, WV the daughter of the late Russell A. Connolly and Virginia M. Moore Connolly. She is survived by four sons; Kenneth E. Stewart of Bridgeport, Wayne D. Stewart of Shinnston, Gary L. Stewart of Salem and Kevin L. Stewart and wife Katie of Greenbelt, MD; one daughter; Beverly S. Stevenson and husband Randy of Clayton, NC; eight grandchildren; Christopher Stewart and wife Mary Beth, Kari Maxwell and husband Tyler, Brandon L. Stewart, Samantha Stewart, Kirsten Green, Erin Grace Sparks and husband Jacob and Sarah L. Colton and husband Paul; five great grandchildren; Tyler Maxwell, Kameron Maxwell, Brody Sparks, Josiah Colton and Titus Colton; two sisters; Betty C. Bond, Patsy Smith and husband Jim. Lucy was a homemaker and also worked as an accounting clerk for 18 years with Consolidated Transmission Corp. She was also owner and operator of Lucy’s Ceramics in Spring Hill Addition. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening and baking. She was an avid quilter, winning many awards for her quilts and she donated many quilts to several charities.
